Hyderabad, 19th Oct. All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday expressed his belief that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS party is going to lose the upcoming Assembly polls in Telangana.
He made this statement during a corner meeting on the way from Bhupalpally to Peddapalli as part of the Congress’ ongoing Vijayabheri Yatra in the state.
According to Gandhi, the upcoming election is a battle between the feudal lords of Telangana (Dorala) and the people of Telangana (Prajala).
He criticized Chandrasekhar Rao for his continued detachment from the people even after ten years in office.
Gandhi also alleged that there is widespread corruption in Telangana and that all the power in the state is concentrated within one family.
He further pointed out that while the BJP targets opposition leaders with cases filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax Departments, Chandrasekhar Rao is spared.
Gandhi also mentioned that neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor Chandrasekhar Rao have addressed the issue of conducting a caste census in the country.
