In addition to the pension increase, Rangasamy mentioned that the government is considering providing free house site pattas to freedom fighters as a gesture of gratitude for their role in liberating Puducherry from French rule.
Rangasamy also addressed the ongoing demand for statehood, expressing optimism that achieving full state status would enable the government to implement decisions more effectively. He reaffirmed his belief that statehood would be attained in the near future.
On the occasion, Rangasamy presented gift hampers to the freedom fighters as a token of appreciation for their sacrifices.
