On Sunday, supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf protested outside the residence of Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML-N) supremo, Nawaz Sharif, for the third weekend in a row, in opposition to the ouster of Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, by a no-confidence vote.
An agitated mob of protesters, including women and children, gathered outside Nawaz Sharif’s Avenfield flats in London for the third weekend, shouting slogans, according to the Dawn newspaper.
Social media videos have emerged showing a group of PTI supporters chanting anti-PML-N chairman Nawaz Sharif slogans.
According to the Dawn newspaper, a protester in London’s Hyde Park was also seen thrashing a placard containing images of PTI dissidents and PML-N members, including Aleem Khan, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Jahangir Tareen, and Rana Sanaullah.
Earlier, during the demonstrations, PTI workers held Pakistani flags while shouting slogans opposing the ouster of ex-Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Meanwhile, members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) gathered outside Nawaz Sharif’s residence to express their support for their leader.
Following Imran Khan’s ouster on April 10 by a no-confidence vote, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) staged protests in several Pakistani cities, chanting pro-Imran Khan slogans.
