New Delhi, 9th May: India is meticulously documenting evidence related to its strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and attempts by Islamabad to push terrorists across the border. This comprehensive data collection effort is aimed at preventing Pakistan from obfuscating facts and countering its propaganda on the global stage.
Top government sources confirmed that India has gathered evidence of all the sites targeted as part of ‘Operation Sindoor’, initiated in response to the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. India holds Pakistan responsible for the attack.

On the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, under the first phase of Operation Sindoor, India launched strikes against terrorist infrastructure at nine locations in Pakistan, including the headquarters of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and the Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke. According to sources, this evidence serves as proof that Pakistan continues to be a safe haven for terrorists.
Standing instructions have been issued to the armed forces to collect visual evidence of their actions. A dedicated data collection unit is in place to record every visual of Indian strikes on Pakistani terror hubs. During the press conference in the early hours of Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Defence shared video evidence of the targeted locations and provided details on their significance.
Following Pakistan’s failed attempt to strike military installations in 15 cities across northern and western India on Thursday evening, the second phase of Operation Sindoor was launched. India subsequently struck air defence systems in Pakistan, including one in Lahore. Evidence of these strikes has also been collected.
Further bolstering India’s documentation efforts, the Border Security Force (BSF) released videos on Friday showing an operation in which seven terrorists were killed during a thwarted infiltration attempt in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir late on Thursday night.
Officials stated that this collected evidence is crucial not only for informing the world about Pakistan’s actions and contributing to its isolation but also for actively countering Pakistan’s state-driven propaganda that denies harbouring and backing terrorists. Coupled with constant fact-checks by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), this evidence helps prevent false Pakistani claims – such as shooting down Indian drones or India targeting its own civilians – from gaining traction.
India maintains that Pakistan is the original aggressor, and the current round of hostilities began with the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri forcefully reiterated this point during a press conference on Thursday.
“The original escalation was by Pakistan on the 22nd of April. We are the ones who are responding to that escalation with the action that was taken yesterday morning,” Mr. Misri said, referring to the Wednesday strikes. He emphasized that India’s action was restrained, targeting “non-civilian, non-military targets and confined to terrorist camps.” Regarding Pakistan’s subsequent actions, he added, “any further action by Pakistan, some of which we are seeing today is nothing but escalation by Pakistan now, once again, and will be responded to and is being responded to appropriately.”
