Prof. M. M. Goel inaugurated the NEP Awareness and Sensitization Workshop at Vaish College, Bhiwani, organized in collaboration with UGC–MMTTC, BPS Khanpur.
Bhiwani, 19th November: Integrating the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) with Gita-guided Needonomics is essential to instill identity and pride among learners, asserted Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Propounder Needonomics School of Thought, three-time Vice-Chancellor, and former Professor at Kurukshetra University.
He delivered inaugural address on “Indian Knowledge System: Relevance of Gita-guided Needonomics and Anu-Gita” of the NEP Awareness and Sensitization Workshop organized by Vaish College Bhiwani in collaboration with the UGC–Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur, Presided over by Dr. Shafali Nagpal, Director of MMTTC, the event featured a welcome address by Principal Dr Sanjay Goyal and citation about Prof. M.M. Goel by Coordinator Prof Vipin Gupta of Hindi Department.
Prof. Goel called for stakeholders to be street SMART—Simple, Moral, Action-oriented, Responsive, and Transparent—and described Needonomics as the Gita’s guiding principle for holistic development in line with NEP 2020.
He advocated for the adoption of needo-consumption to reshape individuals’ savings behavior, positing its potential to mitigate inflation.
Citing the Mahabharata, Prof Goel noted the Anu-Gita in the 14th Parva has 36 chapters and 1,040 shlokas, compared to the Gita’s 18 chapters and 700 shlokas. He likened Goddess Saraswati’s swan to the essential skill of discernment—separating the valuable from the trivial in education and governance.
