Jabalpur, 9th Feb. Principal Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Sanjay Dubey reviewed the power companies at Shakti Bhawan today. During this, he said that the power distribution companies will soon provide paperless bills to the consumers.
Dubey reviewed the work done by the East Region Electricity Distribution Company in this direction.
Consumers will start getting their electricity bills through SMS, WhatsApp and email under paperless bills. These bills will also be in PDF format and will contain complete information including consumer consumption.
In today’s review meeting, Managing Director of East Zone Power Distribution Company Mr. Anay Dwivedi, Managing Director of Power Transmission Company Mr. Sunil Tiwari, Director Technical Mr. Avinash Kumar Bajpai, Director Commercial of Power Generating Company Mr. Pratish Kumar Dubey, senior Engineers of all power companies were present.
Verify All Commercial Connections
Principal Secretary Energy, Sanjay Dubey directed the East Zone Company to verify all the commercial electricity connections by them that they are not being operated from domestic connections. Along with special checking of the load of commercial connections, all the divisions will have to give a certificate within one month that all commercial connections have been checked by them.
Dubey directed that all the divisions along with the Vigilance Squad should also check the commercial connections. He said that special care should be taken in the investigation that no one should be harassed unnecessarily in this type of action.
Install Check Meter
Sanjay Dubey said that monitoring of electricity consumption of consumers should be done by installing check meters at power supply points in commercial areas. He directed that with feeder wise monitoring from the month of April, the responsibility of its in-charge should be fixed.
Grading of substations will be don
Principal Secretary Energy directed to implement a grading system of sub stations from the point of view of quality. He said that with the implementation of the grading system, the benefit of mutual competition will be directly passed on to the consumers. Electricity development work should be done in every district’s town, village and gram panchayat- Shri Sanjay Dubey said that 25 to 50 towns, villages or gram panchayats of each district should be identified under the East Region Electricity Distribution Company and the works of electricity development be implemented. Regular review of power development works should also be ensured.
Transformers in bad condition should be replaced on priority
Sanjay Dubey instructed that bad transformers should be replaced on priority in any area. He instructed the electrical engineers to reduce the transformer failure rate so that the losses could be controlled.
Drone patrolling presentation of transmission line
In the afternoon session, Principal Secretary Sanjay Dubey viewed the drone patrol presentation of the maintenance of ultra high pressure lines by Power Transmission Company. The power transmission company is preparing to use drone patrolling to maintain the ultra high pressure lines. Interruptions of very high pressure lines can be avoided and controlled in a more intensive manner through drone patrolling. Disruption information can be detected sooner than manual patrolling.
Thermal power generation should be uninterrupted and with full capacity
Sanjay Dubey while reviewing the works of Power Generating Company said that efforts should be made to make thermal power generation uninterrupted and with full capacity. Special care should be taken for the maintenance of thermal power plants.
