Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurates InFinity Forum

New Delhi, 3rd Dec. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘InFinity Forum’, a thought leadership Forum on FinTech through video conference on Friday

Addressing the gathering he said that India’s digital public infrastructure solutions can improve the lives of citizens across the world.

Speaking at the Infinity Forum organized by Bloomberg and IFSCA (International Financial Services Centres Authority), he said that we also believe in sharing our experiences and expertise with the world and learn from them as well.

Tools like UPI and RuPay provide a unique opportunity for every country, he said.

The PM asserted that India has proved to the world that it is second to none when it comes to adopting technology or innovating around it.

He said, the transformational initiatives under Digital India have opened the door for innovative fintech solutions to be implemented in governance.

PM Modi cited the successes achieved with Jan Dhan accounts, RuPay, FASTag and other such initiatives taken by the Centre.

The Prime Minister said that fully digital banks without any physical branch offices are already a reality and may become common in less than a decade.

Further, he added that the time has come to convert these fintech initiatives into fintech revolution.

He said that this is such a revolution which helps in achieving financial empowerment of every single citizen of the country. In addition, he emphasized fintech security.

The common people have shown immense faith in our fintech ecosystem by adopting digital payments and such technologies, he said.

We aim to provide the best of international financial services not only to Indians but to the world, he added.
