President Murmu Offers “Dahi-Cheeni” to FM Sitharaman Ahead of Budget 2024 Presentation

New Delhi, 23rd July. Ahead of the presentation of Budget 2024 on Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu extended her best wishes to Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman. In a gesture of goodwill, the President offered Sitharaman a symbolic spoonful of dahi cheeni (sweet curd).

The event, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, also saw the presence of several senior officials from the Finance Ministry.

This traditional offering marked a ceremonial moment as the country awaits the unveiling of the much-anticipated budget.
