President Murmu Awards Police Medals on Independence Day 2024

New Delhi, 15th August. President Droupadi Murmu approved the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) to officers and personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) on the eve of Independence Day 2024.

Shri G.M. Eswara Rao, Principal Chief Security Commissioner of Southern Railway, received the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the security sector.

Additionally, 15 other officers and officials have been awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service:

2. Shri Ujjal Das, Assistant Security Commissioner, East Central Railway
3. Shri Santosh Kumar Sharma, Inspector, 4 BN RPSF
4. Shri Balivada Sridhar, Sub-Inspector, East Coast Railway
5. Shri Sanjay Vasant More, Sub-Inspector, Central Railway
6. Shri Ajay Kumar, Sub-Inspector, 9 BN RPSF
7. Shri Abhay Kumar, Sub-Inspector, East Central Railway
8. Shri Jala Sudhakar, Assistant Sub-Inspector, South Central Railway
9. Shri Nayeem Basha Shaik, Assistant Sub-Inspector, South Central Railway
10. Shri Mukesh Khare, Assistant Sub-Inspector, West Central Railway
11. Shri Arun Kumar Pasi, Assistant Sub-Inspector, North Eastern Railway
12. Shri Rajpal Naik, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Western Railway
