Mangalagiri, 17th Dec. President Droupadi Murmu graced the inaugural convocation of AIIMS, Mangalagiri, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, celebrating the accomplishments of its first graduating MBBS batch.
Addressing the graduates, President Murmu emphasized their role as pioneers and ambassadors of AIIMS, Mangalagiri, representing the institution in the medical fraternity, society, and globally. She urged the young doctors to prioritize service, continuous learning, and research as cornerstones for success, advising them to value fame over fortune in their careers.
Highlighting India’s growing reputation in healthcare, she said Indian doctors have attained global recognition for their talent and dedication, contributing significantly to the nation’s emergence as a hub for affordable medical tourism.
The President applauded the institute’s commitment to holistic healthcare, encapsulated in its motto, “Sakal Swasthya Sarvada” (Universal Health Always). She encouraged medical professionals to adopt a holistic approach to health, aligning with India’s traditions of promoting longevity and disease-free living.
President Murmu also commended AIIMS, Mangalagiri, for its innovations, including the establishment of the Cytogenetics Laboratory, which she called a step forward in tackling emerging medical challenges through advanced research and treatment.
The convocation marked a milestone for AIIMS, Mangalagiri, reinforcing its mission to deliver excellence in healthcare and education.
