New Delhi, 26th May. President Droupadi Murmu concluded her three-day visit to Jharkhand and left for New Delhi today. The President’s tour to Jharkhand underlined new aspects of infrastructure development, technological penetration, accessible judicial system, growth in higher education, entrepreneurship and empowerment of tribal women.
Akashvani Correspondent reports, The three-day visit of President Droupadi Murmu concluded today. She was accorded a warm civic reception in Raj Bhawan yesterday evening with a galore of cultural programs. The President during her visit felt back to her home and urged the people of Jharkhand to keep the cooperative and collective spirit alive in them.
President Droupadi Murmu became the fourth and the youngest President to offer prayers at Baba Baidyanathdham temple in Deoghar. She inaugurated and dedicated to the nation the High Court of Jharkhand, which is the largest ever court premise in the country spread over an area of 165 acres of land.
President Droupadi Murmu was the first President to grace the Convocation ceremony of any IIIT in the last five years.
President Murmu praised the performance of girls in academics at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi and their growing participation in the technological curriculum. In her interaction with the tribal Women SHGs in Khunti, organised by the Tribal Affairs Ministry, President Droupadi Murmu said that the tribals of Jharkhand have become more empowered.
The President also addressed the problems of PVTGs at RajBhawan.
