President Accepts Resignation of Tamilisai Soundararajan; Appoints C. P. Radhakrishnan as Interim Governor of Telangana

New Delhi, 19th March. President Droupadi Murmu has officially accepted the resignation of Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan from her roles as Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.

In a subsequent move, the President has appointed C. P. Radhakrishnan, the current Governor of Jharkhand, to take on the responsibilities of both Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, in addition to his existing duties, until regular arrangements are made.

This appointment will come into effect from the date C. P. Radhakrishnan assumes charge of his office.
