PM Modi Calls for Youth Leadership, Stresses Spirituality and Development at Ramakrishna Math Event

New Delhi, 9th Dec. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a program organized by Ramakrishna Math via video conferencing today. He highlighted India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation during the Amrit Kaal and underscored the importance of youth leadership, spirituality, and sustainable development.

Acknowledging Swami Vivekananda’s impact, PM Modi stated, “India is moving forward based on its own knowledge, traditions, and age-old teachings.” He emphasized the need to prepare Indian youth for leadership roles, not only in technology but also in politics, announcing a “Young Leaders Dialogue” scheduled for January 12, 2025, to coincide with Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.

PM Modi expressed his government’s resolve to bring 1 lakh talented and energetic youth into politics, aiming to create a new face for 21st-century Indian politics. He also stressed harmonizing spirituality with sustainable development to ensure balanced growth, aligning with Swami Vivekananda’s vision of practical spirituality.

During his address, PM Modi lauded Ramakrishna Mission’s service to humanity and its contributions to Gujarat, especially in times of disaster. He also recalled Swami Vivekananda’s profound connection with the state and his role in propagating Vedanta.

PM Modi concluded with a call to action for citizens to embrace the teachings of Gurudev Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda to fulfill the vision of a strong, self-reliant India.
