Patna, 9th August.
Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor claimed on Wednesday that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s political career is nearing its end, forecasting a pivotal battle between his Jan Suraaj campaign and the NDA in the upcoming assembly elections.

Kishor, who plans to transform his Jan Suraaj initiative into a formal party on October 2, stated that widespread discontent with established political entities like the BJP, JDU, and RJD has created a significant opportunity for his new party. He described Jan Suraaj as a chance for people to escape the constraints of traditional political allegiances.

“Nitish Kumar’s political journey is in its last stage,” Kishor said in an interview with ANI. He recounted helping Kumar during a previous political crisis, noting, “Had I not intervened, I don’t know where Nitish Kumar and JDU would be today.” Kishor predicted that the assembly elections will center around a contest between Jan Suraaj and the NDA, with the JDU already “punctured.”

Kishor also criticized the RJD, led by Tejashwi Yadav, asserting that the party has failed to win any elections on its own in this century and has exploited and betrayed its Muslim support base.

As Bihar prepares for early 2025 elections, Kishor’s Jan Suraaj aims to challenge the long-standing dominance of the NDA and RJD alliances, potentially emerging as a significant third force in state politics.
