Police Constable Arrested for Liquor Smuggling in Damoh District

Damoh, 25th Oct. In a major crackdown on liquor smuggling, members of the Bhagwati Human Welfare Organization apprehended a police constable, Ajay Yadav, in the Patera police station area of Damoh district. The organization’s activists seized 20 cartons of illegal liquor from Yadav’s four-wheeler.

According to the activists, Ajay Yadav had been involved in selling wholesale and retail liquor at Mahakal Dhaba. Another accomplice, Rajendra Yadav, was also caught transporting a large quantity of liquor in his vehicle.

The Bhagwati Human Welfare Organization received tips about the illegal liquor supply in the region. Acting swiftly, they collaborated with the police to set up a blockade and successfully intercepted the consignment.

The organization claimed that constable Ajay Yadav was caught at 2:00 AM on the night between Wednesday and Thursday while wearing his police uniform and driving a vehicle loaded with illegal liquor. After the operation, both suspects were handed over to the police, who have registered a case against them under the Excise Act.
