New Delhi, 15th August. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 78th Independence Day address as a testament to the government’s dedication to building a developed and self-reliant India.
In a statement on X, Shah described the Prime Minister’s address as a reflection of the government’s resolve towards creating a Viksit (developed) and Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) Bharat.
“Prime Minister Modi’s address highlighted key themes such as self-reliance through renewable energy, One Nation-One Election, Uniform Civil Code (UCC), expansion of medical education, industrial manufacturing, ‘Design in India,’ and women’s empowerment through Self-Help Groups (SHGs),” Shah said.
He said that the address demonstrated Modi’s commitment to advancing the country, inspired by the successes of the past decade.
Shah urged all citizens to listen to the Prime Minister’s address and take a pledge to contribute to building a strong India. He noted that Modi’s address not only provided a visionary outlook of a radiant future but also empowered the nation with unwavering belief in its potential.
“Over the past ten years, Bharat has undergone a transformative journey marked by course corrections. We now have a new Bharat, characterized by citizen-driven governance and a strong belief that 140 crore citizens can achieve greatness, prosperity, and progress,” Shah added.
