PM Modi’s Bihar Visit on April 24- Development Projects & Rail Connectivity Initiatives

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on an important visit to Bihar on April 24, where he will participate in a programme marking National Panchayati Raj Day in Madhubani. The Prime Minister’s visit will also focus on inaugurating, laying foundation stones, and dedicating numerous development projects worth over ₹13,480 crore in the state, aimed at boosting infrastructure, connectivity, and socio-economic progress.

National Panchayati Raj Day Celebration in Madhubani
At 11:45 AM, PM Modi will participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Madhubani, Bihar, where he will also present the National Panchayat Awards. These awards recognize and incentivize the best-performing Panchayats in the country, contributing significantly to rural development.

Key Development Projects
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of an LPG bottling plant with rail unloading facilities in Gopalganj District, valued at ₹340 crore. This project will enhance LPG supply chain efficiency and improve transportation logistics. Additionally, he will launch several power infrastructure projects worth over ₹1,170 crore under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, alongside inaugurating initiatives worth ₹5,030 crore aimed at transforming Bihar’s power grid.

Rail Connectivity Boost
In a bid to strengthen rail connectivity in Bihar, PM Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express between Saharsa and Mumbai, as well as the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Jaynagar and Patna. He will also inaugurate multiple rail lines, including the Supaul-Pipra and Saharsa-Samastipur lines, and dedicate the Khagaria-Alauli rail line to the nation. These initiatives are expected to improve regional connectivity, spurring socio-economic development.

Community Investment and Housing Initiatives
The Prime Minister will distribute benefits worth ₹930 crore under the Community Investment Fund to over 2 lakh Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Bihar under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). PM Modi will also hand over sanction letters to 15 lakh new beneficiaries under the PMAY-Gramin scheme and release instalments to 10 lakh PMAY-G beneficiaries from across India. Notably, 1 lakh PMAY-G and 54,000 PMAY-U houses will be handed over in Bihar during his visit, symbolizing the ‘Grih Pravesh’ ceremony for the new homeowners.
