PM Modi Visits Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan

Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the historic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, on Tuesday.

He was welcomed by Brunei’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin, and the Minister of Health, Dato Dr. Haji Mohammad Isham.

Members of the Indian community were also present to greet the Prime Minister during his visit.

The Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei, Omar Ali Saifuddien III, was completed in 1958 and stands as a significant religious and cultural landmark in Brunei.

The mosque was initiated by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the father of the current Sultan of Brunei.
