PM Modi to Release 19th Instalment of PM-KISAN in Bhagalpur on Feb 24

Bhagalpur, Bihar- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhagalpur, Bihar, on February 24 to release the 19th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme, benefiting over 9.8 crore farmers with direct transfers exceeding ₹22,000 crore.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, said that this release marks six years of the scheme’s successful implementation, reinforcing the government’s commitment to farmer welfare. Bihar, having received over ₹25,497 crore through previous instalments, will see an additional ₹1,591 crore benefiting around 76.37 lakh farmers in the state.

During the event, PM Modi will also inaugurate key infrastructure and agricultural projects, including:

  • 10,000th Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) under the scheme launched in 2020.
  • Regional Center of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari (₹33.80 crore) under Rashtriya Gokul Mission.
  • Milk Product Plant in Barauni (₹113.27 crore).
  • Warisaliganj–Nawadah–Tilaiya Rail Section Doubling (36.45 km) (₹526 crore).
  • Ismailpur–Rafiganj Road Over Bridge (₹47 crore).

The event will be attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and other Union Ministers. The government will also organize parallel farmer awareness programs nationwide. The 19th instalment release will be broadcast live on DD Kisan, YouTube, and MyGov, reaching over 2.5 crore farmers physically and virtually.
