PM Modi to Inaugurate, Lay Foundation Stone of Multiple Railway Projects on Jan 6

New Delhi, 6th Jan. In a significant move aimed at enhancing connectivity across various regions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several key railway projects on January 6, 2025, at 12:30 PM via video conferencing.

One of the major highlights of the event will be the inauguration of the newly created Jammu Railway Division. Spanning 742.1 kilometers and comprising key railway sections such as Pathankot – Jammu – Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla and others, the Jammu Railway Division is expected to substantially boost connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India. The establishment of the division is set to address a long-standing aspiration of the people of the region while also driving infrastructure development, employment opportunities, tourism, and overall socio-economic progress.

In addition to the Jammu Railway Division, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana. Located in the Medchal-Malkajgiri District, this Rs 413 crore terminal has been designed as an environment-friendly coaching terminal equipped with modern passenger amenities. It will serve as a second entry point for the region, alleviating congestion at existing terminals in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Kacheguda. The new terminal is expected to enhance the overall passenger experience and ease travel within the state.

Furthermore, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Rayagada Railway Division Building under the East Coast Railway. The new division will play a crucial role in improving connectivity in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and surrounding areas, stimulating regional development and providing a boost to the socio-economic fabric of the region.

These projects underscore the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and fostering growth through enhanced transportation networks, ensuring the well-being and prosperity of millions across India.
