PM Modi to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stone of 112 NH Projects in Haryana Visit on March 11

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gurugram, Haryana on 11th March 2024, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 112 National Highway projects across the country, collectively worth approximately Rs. One lakh crore. The event is set to commence around 12 noon.

Among the notable projects to be inaugurated is the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. This 19 km long section of the 8-lane expressway, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 4,100 crore, encompasses two packages: the Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) spanning 10.2 km, and the Basai ROB to Kherki Daula stretch covering 8.7 km. The expressway will provide direct connectivity to the IGI Airport in Delhi and Gurugram Bypass.

Additionally, several other major projects will be inaugurated, including the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Package 3 in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road packages in Uttar Pradesh, NH-16 section in Andhra Pradesh, NH-21 section in Himachal Pradesh, and NH projects in Karnataka, among others.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for various National Highway projects across the country, including the Bengaluru-Kadappa-Vijayawada Expressway packages in Andhra Pradesh, Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur Section of NH-748A in Karnataka, Shamli-Ambala Highway packages in Haryana, Amritsar-Bathinda corridor packages in Punjab, and projects in other states, collectively valued at Rs. 32,700 crores.

These initiatives are expected to significantly bolster the National Highway network, stimulate socio-economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and foster trade and commerce in regions across the country.
