New Delhi, 5th Dec. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, H.E. Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, at his official residence. The two leaders discussed a range of issues aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between India and Kuwait.
During the meeting, PM Modi recalled his meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in September in New York. Expressing satisfaction at the growing momentum in their bilateral ties, the Prime Minister highlighted the expanding areas of cooperation between the two countries.
The leaders discussed strengthening collaboration in trade, investment, energy, technology, culture, and fostering stronger people-to-people connections. Prime Minister Modi also thanked the leadership of Kuwait for the care and support extended to the one million-strong Indian community residing in the country.
Further, PM Modi emphasized the importance of India’s close cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and expressed confidence that the ongoing Presidency of Kuwait in the GCC would further strengthen ties among member nations.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and reiterated their shared commitment to achieving peace, security, and stability in the region.
Prime Minister Modi accepted the invitation extended by Kuwait’s leadership to visit the country at the earliest opportunity, underscoring the growing partnership between India and Kuwait.
