New Delhi— On the occasion of World Water Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s dedication to water conservation and sustainable development, emphasizing the vital role water plays in human civilization.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi called for collective action to safeguard this precious resource for future generations.

“On World Water Day, we reaffirm our commitment to conserve water and promote sustainable development. Water has been the lifeline of civilizations, and thus it is more important to protect it for the future generations!” the Prime Minister wrote.

World Water Day is observed annually on March 22 to raise awareness about the global water crisis and the need for sustainable water management. PM Modi’s message aligns with the government’s ongoing initiatives like the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Namami Gange program, aimed at ensuring water security and promoting community-led conservation efforts.
