PM Modi Pays Tribute to Savitribai Phule and Rani Velu Nachiyar

New Delhi, 3rd Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to two iconic women figures, Savitribai Phule Ji and Rani Velu Nachiyar, on their birth anniversaries, praising their immense contributions to women’s empowerment and social reform.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi remembered Savitribai Phule Ji as a “beacon of women’s empowerment and a pioneer in the field of education and social reform.” He noted that her relentless efforts continue to inspire the nation as it strives to improve the quality of life for its citizens.

“Tributes to Savitribai Phule Ji on her birth anniversary. She is a beacon of women’s empowerment and a pioneer in the field of education and social reform. Her efforts continue to inspire us as we work to ensure a better quality of life for the people,” wrote PM Modi.

Following this, the Prime Minister also remembered the courageous Rani Velu Nachiyar, a warrior queen who played a significant role in fighting colonial rule. In his tribute, Shri Modi highlighted her unparalleled valour and strategic brilliance, noting that she inspired generations to stand against oppression.

“Remembering the courageous Rani Velu Nachiyar on her birth anniversary! She waged a heroic fight against colonial rule, showing unparalleled valour and strategic brilliance. She inspired generations to stand against oppression and fight for freedom. Her role in furthering women empowerment is also widely appreciated,” the Prime Minister wrote.
