New Delhi, 22nd Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday wished Home Minister Amit Shah a happy 58th birthday and said he is making numerous efforts for the country’s progress.
“As India’s Home Minister he is making numerous efforts for our nation’s progress. He is also doing commendable work in reforming the important cooperatives sector. May he lead a long and healthy life in service of our nation,” PM Modi said in a tweet.
Several other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders wished the former party president a happy birthday as well.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that Shah has been working diligently to strengthen India’s internal security and that he competently discharges all responsibilities delegated to him.
Union ministers Nitin Gadkari and Bhupender Yadav also wished the home minister a happy birthday.
Shah, a close associate of Modi’s for more than three decades, is credited with launching the saffron party’s massive expansion drive after he became party president in 2014, and is widely regarded as a key strategist behind the party’s unprecedented electoral success since then.
