New Delhi, 6th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister and former Prime Minister of Singapore, on September 5, 2024.
The meeting included a luncheon hosted by Senior Minister Lee in honor of the Prime Minister.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi praised Senior Minister Lee for his significant role in advancing the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership. He expressed hope that Lee will continue to provide valuable attention and guidance to the relationship between the two nations in his current role.
Reflecting on their previous interactions, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress of the India-Singapore relationship, which has evolved into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They acknowledged the substantial potential for further cooperation, particularly in areas highlighted during the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable meetings.
The leaders also exchanged ideas on enhancing bilateral collaboration and addressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
