PM Modi Launches Mahatari Vandana Yojana in Chhattisgarh, Ensuring Financial Empowerment for Women

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mahatari Vandana Yojana in Chhattisgarh, marking a significant step towards women empowerment in the state. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month to eligible married women through direct benefit transfer (DBT), reinforcing the government’s commitment to promoting gender equality and strengthening the role of women in the family.

During the launch event, attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, ministers, and other dignitaries, PM Modi emphasized the importance of empowering women for the overall well-being of families.

He expressed gratitude to the women of Chhattisgarh and apologized for his absence due to prior commitments. PM Modi assured the beneficiaries that they would receive Rs 1000 every month, underscoring his personal guarantee.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives for women’s welfare, PM Modi noted that women are receiving benefits such as pucca houses, Ujjwala Gas Cylinders, and financial support through schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana and Mudra Loans. He reiterated the government’s goal of empowering three crore “Lakhpati Didis” and highlighted the transformative impact of the Namo Didi program.

PM Modi also announced additional measures to support pregnant women, including free vaccinations and financial assistance of Rs 5,000 during pregnancy. He emphasized the importance of providing free healthcare services to frontline workers like Asha and Anganwadi workers.

Addressing sanitation challenges faced by women, PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing toilets in every household to ensure their dignity. He praised the successful implementation of the Mahatari Vandana Yojana, fulfilling promises made to the people of Chhattisgarh.

In the agricultural sector, PM Modi assured timely payment of pending bonuses to paddy farmers in Chhattisgarh. He celebrated the government’s procurement initiatives, including the record procurement of 145 lakh tonnes of rice at a minimum support price of Rs 3,100 per quintal.

In conclusion, PM Modi expressed confidence in the collective efforts of all stakeholders, particularly women, in driving inclusive development. He assured continued dedication and service from the BJP government, fulfilling promises and ensuring progress for all citizens of Chhattisgarh.
