New Delhi, 23rd Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in an inspiring interaction with students on the occasion of Parakram Diwas, commemorating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The event took place in the Central Hall of Parliament, where PM Modi explored the aspirations and ideas of the young generation for India’s future.
During the interaction, the Prime Minister asked the students about their vision for India by 2047, the centenary year of India’s Independence. A confident student highlighted the goal of making India a developed nation (Viksit Bharat), while another emphasized their readiness to contribute to national service by then.
PM Modi also discussed the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, with students citing his famous quote, “Give me blood, and I promise you freedom.” A student explained how Netaji’s leadership and commitment to the nation inspire youth today to take action.
Addressing climate change and sustainability, the Prime Minister encouraged students to contribute to reducing India’s carbon footprint. He highlighted initiatives like electric vehicles and the PM Suryagarh Yojana. Under this scheme, solar panels installed on rooftops generate electricity, enabling households to reduce energy costs and even sell surplus power back to the government for monetary benefits.
PM Modi stressed the importance of innovative solutions like these in tackling climate change, promoting sustainable development, and advancing India toward becoming a global leader.
