New Delhi, 6th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with teachers honored with the National Teachers Awards at his residence on Friday, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to education. During the interaction, awardees shared their innovative teaching methods and experiences, illustrating their commitment to making learning engaging and effective.
The Prime Minister praised the teachers for their dedication and the exemplary zeal they have shown, which has been recognized through the prestigious awards. He highlighted the role of educators in shaping the future of India, emphasizing that the responsibility for preparing today’s youth for a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, rests heavily on their shoulders.
Discussing the impact of the National Education Policy (NEP), Modi underscored the importance of education in one’s mother tongue and encouraged teachers to incorporate local folklore into their curricula. He suggested that teaching students in multiple languages can enrich their cultural understanding and foster linguistic diversity.
The Prime Minister also advocated for educational tours, recommending that teachers take students on trips to explore India’s rich diversity. He noted that such initiatives would enhance students’ learning experiences while also promoting tourism and supporting local economies.
Modi encouraged the award-winning teachers to connect via social media to exchange best practices, allowing educators across the country to learn from each other’s experiences. He reaffirmed that teachers play a crucial role in nation-building and that their innovative practices and dedication significantly contribute to the advancement of the education sector.
