Bhubaneswar, 28th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, marking a significant moment in Odisha’s journey towards becoming a major industrial and investment hub. The event was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Cabinet ministers, and prominent business leaders from India and across the globe.
Revival of Eastern India’s Growth Engine
Highlighting Odisha’s potential, PM Modi emphasized the pivotal role of eastern India in driving the country’s growth. “When India held a major share in global trade, eastern India, including Odisha, had an important contribution,” he stated. He also noted the increasing global interest in Odisha, particularly from ASEAN countries. “Recently, the Singapore President visited Odisha and expressed enthusiasm about strengthening ties with the state,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister praised the state’s efforts in hosting its largest business summit to date, positioning Odisha as the anchor of the Purvodaya Vision and a leader in India’s industrial transformation.
CM Majhi Lauds PM Modi’s Support
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed gratitude to PM Modi for his consistent focus on the state’s development. He highlighted the PM’s fifth visit to Odisha in seven months and the significant infrastructure initiatives under the Purvodaya Vision, which he believes will transform the state’s economic landscape in the coming months.
“In your every visit, you bring gifts for the state. This time, you’ve brought one that will fundamentally change Odisha’s condition,” CM Majhi remarked.

The Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, Odisha’s flagship Global Investment Summit, is aimed at showcasing the state as a top investment destination. The two-day event (January 28-29) features:
