PM Modi, Finnish President Stubb Reaffirm Commitment to Deepen Bilateral Ties

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a telephonic conversation with the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, during which the two leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation and pledged to further deepen the partnership across key strategic areas.

According to a release by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the leaders discussed collaboration in digitalization, sustainability, and mobility. They also expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation in advanced technologies such as quantum computing, 5G-6G networks, artificial intelligence, and cyber-security.

In addition to bilateral issues, Prime Minister Modi and President Stubb exchanged views on regional and global matters of concern, including the situation in Ukraine. President Stubb reiterated Finland’s support for stronger India-EU ties and called for the early conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union.

The two leaders agreed to remain in regular contact as both nations look to enhance cooperation across emerging and strategic domains.
