PM Modi Congratulates Indian Athletes for 33 Medals at Special Olympics Winter Games

New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the exceptional performance of the Indian contingent at the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025 in Turin, Italy, where they clinched 33 medals.

In a special meeting held in Parliament on March 18, 2025, the Prime Minister congratulated the athletes for their remarkable dedication and achievements, expressing immense pride in their accomplishments.

On X, Modi shared his sentiments: “I am immensely proud of our athletes who have brought glory to the nation at the Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Turin, Italy! Our incredible contingent has brought home 33 medals. Met the contingent in Parliament and congratulated them for their accomplishments.”

The 2025 edition of the games witnessed the Indian athletes competing on the global stage, further strengthening India’s position in the field of sports, especially at international events.
