New Delhi, 28th Dec. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep condolences over the tragic loss of lives in a bus accident in Bathinda, Punjab. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for those injured in the accident.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister conveyed his sorrow, saying, “Saddened by the loss of lives in the bus accident in Bathinda, Punjab. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.”
The tragic accident, which occurred earlier on Friday, has left several people dead and many others injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and providing necessary medical care to the injured.
In his message, the Prime Minister assured the victims’ families of the government’s support and reaffirmed his commitment to providing assistance to those affected by such unfortunate incidents.
