New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his condolences for the lives lost in the tragic fire incident in Kolkata. He has also announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims and their families.
The PMO India handle posted on X, “Anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Kolkata. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.
An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi”
