New Delhi, 12th May. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed deep grief over the demise of Sanskrit and Hindi Scholar, Dr. Rama Kant Shukla.
PM Modi said, “Deeply saddened by the passing away of Dr. Ramakant Shukla ji, who made invaluable contributions to the world of Sanskrit and Hindi literature. My deepest condolences to his family and admirers in this hour of grief. Peace!!”

Renowned Sanskrit scholar Dr. Ramakant Shukta passed away on Wednesday. He was traveling in the train when his health suddenly deteriorated. The train was stopped at Aligarh station after his health deteriorated, though doctors declared him brought dead. The Government of India honored him with Padma Shri in the year 2015.
