PM Modi Bows to Maharishi Valmiki on Valmiki Jayanti

New Delhi, 20^th Oct. The birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana, is being celebrated with pomp across the country, especially in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to Maharishi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana, on his birth anniversary.

The Prime Minister said that his emphasis on the empowerment of the society is inspiring.

PM Modi shared a clip of his famous radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and tweeted, “On the special occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, I bow to Maharishi Valmiki. We remember his important contribution in cherishing our rich past and glorious culture. His emphasis on social empowerment continues to inspire us.”
