New Delhi, 4th Dec. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed the passage of amendments to the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948, in the Rajya Sabha, emphasizing its critical role in strengthening India’s energy security and driving the nation towards prosperity.
In response to a post on X by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, PM Modi remarked, “This is an important legislation which will boost energy security and also contribute to a prosperous India.”
The amended legislation aims to streamline regulations governing oilfields, enhancing efficiency and bolstering the energy sector’s growth. It underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring robust energy infrastructure to meet the country’s growing needs.
