New Delhi, 29th June. According to sources, senior BJP leaders met last night to discuss the strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other senior party figures attended the meeting, which was held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence.

The meeting comes just days after Prime Minister Modi returned from the United States. According to sources, a major reorganization may have been considered during the five-hour meeting.

The party has yet released a formal communication on the meeting, which occurred amid marathon debates over organizational and political concerns by Shah, Nadda, and BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh.

Prime Minister Modi has indicated in his address to BJP workers that the government would strive for the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code across the country, an agenda that has always been part of the BJP’s manifestos.

A defeat in Karnataka has prompted the BJP to revise its campaign strategy for the next state elections later this year. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh are all going to the polls. Only Madhya Pradesh is governed by the BJP. The party is aiming to use the revolving door tendency in Rajasthan and anti-incumbency in two other states to its advantage.

Last month, Union ministers and senior BJP organizational members participated in a month-long mass connect effort to mark the ninth anniversary of the Narendra Modi government, which was also considered as the ruling party’s mammoth outreach to drum up support ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In contrast, all opposition parties intend to campaign together in the 2024 elections. At a meeting last week, the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, and 14 other Opposition parties discussed forming a grand alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

However, the AAP has remained steadfast, claiming that it will not join the united opposition unless the Congress formally rejects the Centre’s unilateral order removing control over officials in Delhi.
