Mumbai- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, addressing the 75th-anniversary celebration of K.P.B. Hinduja College in Mumbai, emphasized that philanthropic efforts in education and healthcare should not be driven by commercialization. He urged corporate leaders to view investment in education as an investment in the nation’s future.
Highlighting India’s historical academic legacy, Dhankhar cited the destruction of Nalanda University by Bakhtiyar Khilji in 1193, calling it a systemic erasure of knowledge.
He reiterated the joint responsibility of the government and private sector in advancing education.
Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan and Hinduja Group Chairman Ashok P. Hinduja were also present at the event.
