PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti Meets Sonia Gandhi in Delhi, Discusses Current Political Situation

New Delhi, 19th April. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti met Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Monday evening.
The PDP chief had an hour-long meeting with Sonia Gandhi and refused to speak with the media persons thereafter.
According to sources, it was a private meeting during which both the leaders discussed the current political situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the country.
Considering the upcoming assembly polls in J&K, there is speculation about whether the Congress party will form an alliance with the PDP instead of the National Conference this time.
The visit suggests the probability of the Peoples Democratic Party coming closer to the Congress party in the upcoming days.
Sources claimed that some major activities could be expected in this matter soon.
