Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi is eyeing to punish the defaulter of power bills. Taking a serious view of Rs 120 crore dues of power bills Bedi, said “Excellent futuristic measures would be put in place immediately, which include publishing names of defaulters in newspapers and also announcement through the FM radio”.
Lt Governor Bedi after discussions with officials found that as much as 120 crore had been due for months from various categories of power consumers.
Bedi in whats app message to media person told ‘special enforcement team’ had been formed to recover the dues. As many as 25,000 defaulters have the due amount of Rs 120 crore. The Lt Governor also asked consumers to settle dues by remitting the amount online immediately to avoid disconnection. Bottom of Form
