Pando, Special Backward Tribal Society Celebrates Governor Uikey’s Birthday with Great Pomp

Surajpur, 13th April. The Pando Tribal Society celebrated the birthday of Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey ji with great pomp at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Pandonagar Sunday (April 10, 2022).
Anusuiya Uikey ji is an inspiration for many with her simple nature and extraordinary talent. She is in the hearts of the Pando tribe.
The Pando and the special backward tribes had never even seen the door of the Raj Bhavan. Those Pando, Pahari Korwa, Baiga, Kamar, Abujhmadia, Birhor, Bhunjia tribe’s delegation when for the first time went to Raj Bhavan, Governor Uikey, leaving the program of her entire protocol, instructed the officers posted in her Raj Bhavan to bring them inside without prior appointment and asked the delegation of Pando and all the special backward tribes of the state about their problems, discussed their complete situation and reason for coming and supported them.
She assured to discuss their problems with the Chief Minister and to solve them. Whenever the Pandos and the Special Backward Tribal Society went to meet the Governor at Raj Bhavan, they were never told whether they had taken prior appointments or not, they were called inside immediately to meet the Governor.
Every year on 10th April, the birthday of Governor Uikey will be celebrated at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Pandonagar, Surajpur.
In 1952, the then President Dr. Rajendra Prasad had visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan of Pandonagar, after which the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Anusuiya Uikey is the second big person to come here. Showing their gratitude towards her, the Pando and the Special Backward Tribal Society have decided to celebrate her birthday every year.
Special backward tribe family worshiped their deities and prayed for the long life and bright future of Governor Anusuiya Uikey ji.
