Overstaying Pakistanis Face Deportation and Potential Jail Time in India

New Delhi, India – After the expiration of their visas, 537 Pakistani nationals have been repatriated from India. Simultaneously, 843 Indian citizens have returned to India from Pakistan.

The Indian government has issued a strict directive for Pakistani nationals who arrived in India on medical visas to depart by tomorrow. Failure to comply with this order could result in severe consequences.

Authorities have warned that Pakistanis who do not leave India after their visa expiry face potential imprisonment of up to three years and a fine of ₹300,000. The government has made it clear that those who disregard the order will be subject to arrest.

This development underscores the Indian government’s firm stance on visa regulations and the consequences of overstaying legal permits.
