Opposition Presidential Candidate Yashwant Sinha Meets DMK Chief Stalin, Seeks Support

Chennai, 30th June. Yashwant Sinha, the opposition nominee for the presidential election next month, met with DMK president and Chief Minister M K Stalin on Thursday, seeking the support of Tamil Nadu’s ruling party and its allies.

On his arrival at the DMK headquarters, ‘Anna Arivalayam,’ Yashwant Sinha was greeted and led inside the party office by Stalin, who presided over a meeting of his party and its allies, all of whom backed the former Union Minister Sinha wholeheartedly.

While Stalin referred to Sinha as a “man of eminence,” MDMK chief and Rajya Sabha member Vaiko stated, “We are all with you.”

Leaders of the DMK’s alliance parties, including Congress party (legislative party leader) K Selvaperunthagai, spoke out in support of Sinha. Representatives from the Left parties, as well as Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, have also pledged their support for Sinha.
