New Delhi, 8th May:
Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Army launched “Operation Sindoor” against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. The operation involved strikes on nine terrorist locations. After the success of “Operation Sindoor,” the government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday, which included several prominent opposition leaders. The meeting has now concluded, but a significant development has emerged: “Operation Sindoor” is still underway.

“Operation Sindoor” Continues
The central government held an all-party meeting today, which has now ended. During the meeting, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed all members present. Sources claim that Rajnath Singh stated that “Operation Sindoor” has not yet concluded and is still in progress. Rajnath Singh informed the attendees that the operation is ongoing and the situation at the border is rapidly changing, which is why further details could not be shared at this time. During the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge also raised the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s absence. Additionally, the government did not address the claims made in media reports regarding Rafale.

Kiren Rijiju Provides Information
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju stated that the government wanted to inform all parties about “Operation Sindoor.” In retaliation for the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes late Tuesday night on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammed stronghold in Bahawalpur and a Lashkar-e-Taiba camp in Muridke.

Action Taken After Pahalgam Attack
It is important to note that these military strikes under “Operation Sindoor” occurred two weeks after the killing of 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Prior to this, the government had convened an all-party meeting on April 24 to brief leaders of all parties about the Pahalgam attack.
