On June 16 and 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a central government-organized conclave of chief secretaries of states and union territories in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala.

The conclave’s focus will be on key issues of urban governance, education, and agriculture, as well as state coordination.

This is the first time such a conference of top bureaucrats has been held to thoroughly discuss key issues.
“The ministries involved are working on the schedule’s details. The conclave will be more consultative in nature, with the goal of learning about the challenges that top officers face so that corrective measures can be implemented “according to an official quoted by the Times of India.

According to sources, the conclave is important because states governed by opposition parties have disagreements with the Center, and these disagreements have grown in recent months.

The conclave, which aims to bring all heads of state administration together, may send a positive message to states as the Center attempts to persuade them to join the Center’s initiatives.
Shimla rally of Prime Minister Modi

Earlier in the day, the prime minister held a mega roadshow and spoke at a rally in Shimla to commemorate his government’s eighth anniversary.

PM Modi said at a public meeting at Shimla’s Ridge Maidan, “Our programmes for service, good governance, and poor welfare have altered people’s perceptions of government. The government is no longer the master, but rather the servant.”

“Prior to 2014, the government saw corruption as an essential component of the system. Back then, instead of fighting corruption, the government had succumbed to it, and the country had to watch as the money from the schemes was looted before it reached the needy “he’d added.
