New Delhi, 31st May: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will head a high-level Indian Parliamentary Delegation to the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, from June 3 to 5. The forum, which brings together lawmakers from across the BRICS bloc and invited countries, will focus on “The Role of BRICS Parliaments in Building More Inclusive and Sustainable Global Governance.”

The forum will see participation from all BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—along with newer members like Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt, and invitees such as Cuba, Nigeria, and Kazakhstan. Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President Tulia Ackson will also be in attendance.
