Gurgaon, Haryana, 1st December. On November 21, 2024, Ridge Valley School in DLF QEC witnessed an inspiring convergence of five major organizations united under a common mission: nurturing young minds to become responsible stewards of the Earth and future leaders with exceptional values. The event was graced by an esteemed delegation from OISCA International, Tokyo, led by Ms. Etsuko Nakano, alongside representatives from Rotary International, Business Networking International (BNI), Muskaan Foundation, and the Global Trade and Technology Council India (GTTCI).
A United Front for Service and Collaboration
The event witnessed the formal installation of Ridge Valley School’s Rotary Interact Club, guided by its mentor organization, the Rotary E-Club of Progressive Thinkers. The occasion was graced by an array of distinguished dignitaries, including Ms. Etsuko Nakano (President, OISCA International), Mr. Nagayashi Yasuaki (Vice President, OISCA International), Mr. Kitsuki Fumio (Secretary, OISCA International), and Mr. Alok Sinha (President, National Council of OISCA and ALAR India).
Adding to the ceremony’s grandeur, Rotary District 3011 Governor Dr. Mahesh Trikha joined forces with Dr. Gaurav Gupta (Founder President, GTTCI) and representatives from BNI Gurgaon and Faridabad, such as Mr. Piyush Prakash and Mr. Pawan Inderjit Singh, to emphasize the core value of “service before self.”
Prominent contributions were also made by Ms. Shanti Aulck, Chairperson of the Muskaan Foundation, and Rotary leaders Dr. Pushpa Sethi and Mr. Ish Anand. Eminent Journalist Mr. Kumar Rakesh, Editorial Chairman of Global Governance News Group and Samagra Bharat Media Group, was a special guest at the event. He delivered an insightful address highlighting the enduring friendship between India and Japan and the “Viksit Bharat” vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His presence and reflections further enhanced the occasion’s significance, underscoring the global and ethical collaboration it represented.

Dr. Meenu Kumar: Bridging Organizations and Vision
At the heart of this collaboration was Rotarian Dr. Meenu Kumar, an artist and social worker who has served as a vital link between Ridge Valley School and the participating organizations. Dr. Kumar, Vice President of OISCA International (North India Chapter), President of Rotary E-Club of Progressive Thinkers (District 3011), and CSR Head of BNI Gurgaon and Faridabad, played a pivotal role in bringing these entities together for a shared cause.

The day began with a warm welcome by Ridge Valley School Principal Ms. Nidhi Tewari, who lauded the school’s commitment to excellence and community-driven initiatives. The school choir’s heartfelt performance set an inspiring tone for the event, which also featured a tour of the campus, showcasing Ridge Valley’s academic achievements and projects like the Plantation Drive and Plastic Warriors Campaign.
A significant moment of the ceremony was the oath administered by Rotary District Governor Dr. Mahesh Trikha to student president Rishaan Sehgal and the newly inducted Rotary committee members. This installation symbolized the school’s commitment to fostering leadership, civic responsibility, and a spirit of service among its students.
Innovative Projects for a Better Future
The event also marked the formal collaboration between OISCA International and Ridge Valley School under the Children’s Forest Program. This initiative emphasizes waste recycling and reducing plastic bag usage, encouraging students to take proactive steps toward environmental conservation.
In partnership with BNI, the school also joined the Business Voices Future Leaders Program. This initiative focuses on equipping students with essential business and networking skills, preparing them to excel as future leaders capable of meaningful contributions to society.
