Gurgaon, Haryana, 1st December. Ridge Valley School played host to a prestigious event as a delegation from OISCA International Tokyo, led by President Ms. Etsuko Nakano, visited the campus to celebrate a shared commitment to nurturing young leaders and promoting sustainability. The grand ceremony, held at DLF QEC Innovative School, marked the installation of Ridge Valley School’s Rotary Interact Club under the mentorship of the Rotary E-Club of Progressive Thinkers.
The event brought together five major organizations—OISCA International, Rotary International, Business Networking International (BNI), Muskaan Foundation, and the Global Trade and Technology Council India (GTTCI)—all aligned with the mission of empowering students to become future leaders and responsible stewards of the planet.

The occasion was graced by notable dignitaries, including OISCA International leaders Ms. Etsuko Nakano, Mr. Nagayashi Yasuaki (Vice President), and Mr. Kitsuki Fumio (Secretary), alongside Mr. Alok Sinha, President of the National Council of OISCA in India. Rotary District 3011 Governor Dr. Mahesh Trikha, GTTCI Founder President Dr. Gaurav Gupta, and BNI Gurgaon and Faridabad representatives Mr. Piyush Prakash and Mr. Pawan Inderjit Singh also lent their support.
Prominent guests included Ms. Shanti Aulck, Chairperson of Muskaan Foundation; Dr. Pushpa Sethi, a distinguished Rotary District Chairperson; Mr. Ish Anand of Rotary India; and renowned journalist Mr. Kumar Rakesh, Editorial Chairman of Global Governance News Group.
Dr. Meenu Kumar: The Bridge Between Institutions
Integral to the collaboration was Dr. Meenu Kumar, Vice President of OISCA International (North India Chapter) and President of Rotary E-Club of Progressive Thinkers. A prominent social worker and art curator, Dr. Kumar has been instrumental in fostering relationships between Ridge Valley School and its esteemed partners.
Key Highlights of the Event
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from the school’s Principal, Ms. Nidhi Tewari, followed by an inspiring performance by the school choir that set the tone for the day. The school council then guided delegates on a tour of the campus, showcasing initiatives such as the Plantation Drive and Plastic Warriors Campaign, reflecting Ridge Valley’s commitment to community-driven sustainability.

One of the event’s pivotal moments was the oath-taking ceremony, where Rotary District Governor Dr. Mahesh Trikha officially inducted student president Rishaan Sehgal and other Rotary committee members. This milestone underscored the school’s dedication to fostering leadership and civic responsibility.
Collaborative Projects: Building a Sustainable Future
The event also marked the formal partnership between Ridge Valley School and OISCA International under the Children’s Forest Program. This initiative aims to instill environmental consciousness in students through activities like waste recycling and reducing plastic usage.
Additionally, the collaboration with BNI introduced the Business Voices Future Leaders Program, equipping students with essential business and networking skills to prepare them for global challenges.
