Bhubaneswar, 21st May. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik may reshuffle his Cabinet on Monday, according to official sources.

According to sources, there would be a minor reshuffle in CM Patnaik’s Council of Ministers before next year’s Assembly and General Election, with new Ministers taking oath at Lok Seva Bhawan.

The Cabinet reshuffle has been necessitated after the resignation of the two ministers. Apart from that one more position is lying vacant after the killing of Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das in January.

Earlier in the month, Odisha Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha and two cabinet ministers resigned from their respective posts citing personal reasons, said official sources.

Soon after the Speaker resigned, two Cabinet Ministers, Samir Ranjan Sash and Srikant Sahu, resigned as well.

Samir Ranjan Sash was the state’s Minister of School and Mass Education, while Srikant Sahu was in charge of the Ministry of Labour.
